Pastor Biography

Everette Cornell Maltbia was born February 28, 1972 in Conway, AR to Lee & Barbara Maltbia.  He is the fourth in line of five children, having one brother, Henry and three sisters, Diane, Gena, and Natalee.

 

He accepted Christ into his life in 1981 at the early age of nine.  He was called into the ministry shortly thereafter at the age of 16.  In 1991 he became the youngest ordained elder in the Church of God in Christ Second Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction of Arkansas under the leadership of Bishop Donnie Lee Lindsey.  In 1993 he founded and organized the True Holiness Saints Center and married his high school sweetheart, Natasha Nicole Pierce of Conway, Arkansas.  God has blessed them with two lovely children, Kennedy and Connor.

 

 

Pastor Maltbia received his education within the Conway Public Schools.  He earned his high school academic diploma in 1990, and he moved on to the University of Central Arkansas to study Business Administration.  While in college, Pastor Maltbia went to work with his brother Henry to assist him in starting and managing the Veasley Funeral Home.  Pastor Maltbia served as Vice President of the funeral home while pastoring his newly formed church until the decision was made to dedicate his life exclusively to the ministry.

 

Pastor Maltbia's ministry far exceeds his service at True Holiness and within other religious affiliations.  Over the years, he has demonstrated his leadership through serving on the board of directors for the following organizations:  United Way of Faulkner County, The Faulkner County Leadership Institute, the University of Central Arkansas Grievance Advisory Board, Salvation Army of Faulkner County, and both the Central Arkansas and Conway Ministerial Alliance and as Chaplin for the Conway Police Department.

 

 Throughout Pastor Maltbia's ministry he has received several awards and recognition for his outstanding leadership both locally & nationally.  His acknowledgements first begin in 1989 when he was featured in the Arkansas Democrat Gazette newspaper at the age of 17 as the Youth of the Year.  In 1994 he received recognition from the International Presiding Bishop of the Church of God in Christ, Chandler Owens, for his dedication & commitment to the church.  In 1995 he received the state of Arkansas Certificate of Recognition from Governor Jim Guy Tucker.  In 1996 he was given the key to the city of Conway from Mayor David Kinley and again in 2002 he received the key to the city of Conway from Mayor Tab Townsell.  In 2001 he received an Honorary Assistant General of the State of Arkansas by Attorney General Mark Pryor.  In 2002 he received the Distinguished Citizen Award by the Arkansas Martin Luther king Jr. Commission.  In August of 2003, he received the Recognition of Faithful Service Award because of his dedication to the Central Arkansas Ministerial Alliance.  In 2004, he also received the Gospel Fest Appreciation Award from the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity (Iota Pi Chapter) and the Zeta Phi Beta sorority (Gamma Eta Chapter.)  In February of 1999 he was the keynote speaker at the Conway High School Black History Assembly.  He most recently received the Presidents Award from the University of Central Arkansas; he also received the Ten Outstanding Young Arkansan Award and an Award of Recognition and Appreciation from the African American Alumni Association.

 

 Pastor  Maltbia has conducted revivals, lectures, workshops, seminars, conferences, teaching, preaching and speaking engagements not only in the state of Arkansas but also in Colorado, Mississippi, Nevada,  Ohio, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Texas.
