FAITH, HISTORY, AND ORDINANCES
STATEMENT OF FAITH
We believe the Bible to be the inspired and only infallible Word of God. We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons; God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. We believe in the blessed hope, which is the rapture of the church of God, which is in Christ, at His return. We believe that the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and having faith in the precious blood of Jesus Christ. We also encourage every believer to be baptized in water. We believe that the redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing for the human body in answer to believing prayer. We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit, by whose in-dwelling, the Christian is enabled to live a holy and separated life in this present world. Amen.
OUR HISTORY
The True Holiness Saints Center is a church of the Lord Jesus Christ in which the word of God is preached, ordinances are administered, and the doctrine of sanctification or holiness is emphasized as being essential to victorious living.
Pastor Everette Cornell Maltbia, founder and organizer of the True Holiness Saints Center Inc., on July 4, 1993, organized a group of believers for the purpose of establishing a church with a stronger appeal and greater encouragement for all Christians and believers. A meeting was called by Pastor Maltbia and five stood as charter members. Mr. Henry Veasley, Jr., who desired to see Pastor Maltbia’s ministry continue, provided the chapel of his funeral home for a temporary location.
Later the church was moved to a one-room store front that seated about forty people. Because of the overwhelming number of people who attended, the church again was moved to its second location across from Conway City Hall. Under Pastor Maltbia’s spiritual and apostolic direction, the church has grown from five charter members in July of 1993 to one of the leading ministries in Faulkner County. True Holiness is a God-Centered Church, rooted in Christ Jesus, that believes first in God. This is why no problem, event, or succession of events can defeat us and those who God loves.
